Report writing, review and sign-off

With remote working in mind we took the decision to build our report writing system to integrate with Sharepoint and Teams (as well as active directory and Azure single sign-on). The outcome is that your report writers have a completely unique experience and can collaborate on reports like never before.

Administrators can quickly build workflows and add their own custom fields in a single click. Review steps can be amended using drag-and-drop functionality to allow for the creation of a review and sign-off procedure which meets your needs. You can set deadlines which are automatically recalculated should a report be moved to a different meeting.

Report writers never have to worry about a report being locked by another user as we have taken advantage of the collaborative working features of Sharepoint and Office 365. Multiple report reviewers / editors can access the report at the same time and share comments and notes as well as viewing each other’s tracked changes.

But that’s not all. We know how much Teams has become part of your working day so we made the decision to embrace that and push notifications through Teams. If you have a report to review, then you’ll get a notification in Teams with a link to the report (you’ll have the option to also have an email and SMS as well). More importantly, if there are multiple reviewers in a team and only one person needs to review the report, you’ll have the option to discuss this in the Teams notification chat to ensure that you can avoid any duplication and ensure that the workload is evenly shared.

Committee Management COMING SOON

We’re excited about delivering a fully cloud-based committee management system which can utilise FCS Software’s unique framework which has already been used to deliver AppealsPro, ElectionsPro and ComplaintsPro. The framework allows us to manage users and meetings, provide single sign-on, integrate with Outlook, create documents and packs, send emails and SMS messages via Gov.Notify, share documents securely as well as being able to publish publicly available information.

We have all of the building blocks in place and we are looking forward to working with our customers to apply the business logic required for the core democratic services functions.
